Friends Of St. Botolph's Church (FOSBOTS)
FOSBOTS 200 club stands for Friends of St.Botolph’s and is a means by which people who may not be members of the church , but who would like to help support the upkeep of the churchyard, and contribute to the cost of updating equipment in the church can do so.
FOSBOTS is now run by Barbara Sear & Emma Riddell and our aim is to reach 200 membership (or more if possible). We have a few places left so please contact either Barbara or Emma for a subscription form. The fee is £15.00 per year and once a completed form and payment has been received we will send out confirmation to you along with the 200 club number you have been issued with.
The 200 club draw will take place on the last Sunday of each month after the Sunday Morning Service in St. Botolph’s , and the winners will be printed in the Roundabout magazine each month, and cheques sent out as appropriate. We will be paying 1st prize £40.00, 2nd prize £20.00 and an additional prize draw at Christmas of £50.00.
The funds raised are shared between helping the church (new equipment etc) and the maintenance of the churchyard. Although we have a dedicated team of volunteers to carry out the work in the churchyard, we have to provide the mowers, petrol , strimmers etc. Some new equipment is required , plus the servicing of old mowers . FOSBOTS funds, of which half will go into the churchyard account, will enable us to provide our volunteers with workable equipment.
St.Botolph’s has one of the largest churchyards in the area, and requires a tremendous amount of effort and commitment from our volunteers. Any help you are able to give, either by donation, joining FOSBOTS or becoming a volunteer will be much appreciated.
Thank You
Barbara Sear Emma Riddell
