St Botolph’s Building Restoration Appeal

At 10th January 2010 £39694.02 had been raised towards the restoration appeal. Thanks to all who have contributed. Fundraising continues.
The architect has submitted his draft specification to us for review. He has prepared specifications and drawings for the tower roof and masonry repairs and flooring in the bellchamber and clockchamber.
The architect expects to give us quotations in the next few weeks.
Then starts the lengthy process of applying for grants.
We will repair the tower stairs using approved materials and bellrope guides need to be fitted in the ringing chamber.
We have drawn up a scheme for disabled access via the chancel door, and having received quotations, we are reviewing the scheme to find a cheaper solution.
